How come my cell phone doesn't work in Boston and my parent's does?
Ok, my family and I are in Boston. Anyways, when I go there, my cell phone doesn't have any service and I can't call anyone, but My parent's phone works fine. We all have Verizon, so I don't know what is the problem? I can't call anyone, because I have no signal bars, nothing. Why?

call *228 and then press one and then 2 and then it will update your service capabilities
Answer 3 :
maybe its because they have a different brand of verizon phone
Answer 4 :
It's the kinda phone you use. Your parents have powerfull phone but you don't. try changing the phone.
Answer 5 :
Dial *228 & press 2, this will update your service. If that doesn't work, it could be a problem with your phones attena. I had the same issue with my phone, and they said its probably that my attena got fried(?) LoL...ANYways if you are still within a year of purchasing that phone, they will replace it with a new one, no charge.
